She is the founder and CEO of the firm. Sheila has over 25 years of experience and she continues to apply innovative master planning and design solutions to new and renovation projects for housing, healthcare, education, data centers, institutional, governmental, and mixed-use facilities, encompassing a broad range of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and plumbing designs. Her experience includes acting as a project manager and lead HVAC engineer for many specialty applications, such as central plant heating and cooling, active smoke control systems, custom air handling systems, and hydronic heating and cooling system design and peer review. Her past responsibilities have included managing schedules, reviews, coordinating the mechanical engineering and plumbing aspects of complex constructions. Her duties also include developing performance budgets, cost estimating, and scheduling, keeping projects within time and budget constraints. Sheila is a Registered Engineer in the State of California and the State of Washington.
Vice President, LEED AP, CXA
Allen has over 25 years’ of experience in the engineering and building construction industry. He is an expert in design, commissioning, construction administration, strategic planning, management budgeting and organizational development. His project management, design, peer review and construction skills include; experience in office building-tenant improvement, mixed-use facilities, education, institutional, healthcare, governmental, industrial, sports complexes, science and technology. He is influential in the areas of layout, mechanical HVAC, energy modeling and LEED compliance. Allen is a LEED Accredited Professional and has used his skills to be instrumental in the LEED process. Allen conducts all on-site field surveys and functional testing to confirm that the installed systems are operating in accordance with the Contract Documents and Owner’s Requirements.
Project & Mechanical Engineer
Juvin graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with core focus on Energy Management and Industrial technology. He has over 4 years of corporate experience in the engineering and technology field and 2 years of specific experience in the HVAC domain (AEC Industry.) He is proficient in a wide range of computer aided design software, graphic, and 3D modelling programs including AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu and the Adobe Creative Suite. His educational background and work experience give him the ability to work efficiently with precise attention to detail. He has a strong hold in design, with a deep-set knowledge of structural designs, architectural designs, and building phases of construction. During the design process, he is influential in the areas of layouts, involving mechanical HVAC. He has a strong background in mechanical systems design including, heating and cooling equipment, air distribution, and building automation controls. In his tenure with A & S, he has been exposed to design phases for an array of projects inclusive of corporporate structures, healthcare, laboratories and low income housing buildings. He is exceptionally proficient in load calculation for projects at the beginning of design phases. His expertise in the Energy Pro 8 software is instrumental for the benefit of multiple projects, that he simultaneously works on.
